Classes: You can choose between: Shaman, Hunter, Witchblade and Fighter classes. These classes subdivide into three more sub classes. Sadly, the classes are gender specific. The WItchblade and Shaman classes are female characters. There's also "Artisan skills" in which aside from being let's say, a Shaman- you can choose to be a tailor, metalworker, an alchemist, and a cook. (I think I missed one) After logging in, choosing your class you get to a screen that lets you:
Common game attributes Aside those I mentioned, you could also change the hairstyle and customize it to a limited degree. You need to level up and in order to do so, you need to earn experience. This game though, as well as the other webzen games has a sense of 'story' in which you go through the game like an RPG. Taking "RPG" up a notch Most games I played before had quests up until you get to change your classes. But after that, you're on your own and all you do is basically grind (Grinding is a game term in which you go to dungeons repeatedly and gain huge amounts of experience)
C9 is very much like SUN online (figures because they're from the same publisher) with the quests running through the entire game. Until I guess you tire of it. You follow a story line and the NPC's start respecting you and the likes.

C9 or "Continent of the 9th Seal" is Webzen's newest MORPG. (Not quite sure about it being "MMORPG" as it's still in it's beta stages as of June 30 2012. WebzenJust a note-- I don't have anything to compare this game to because the only other Webzen game I've played is SUN Online. I was a magic type character (As I usually am in most games I play). And heck was I powerful AoE and killing a whole mass in one click (But getting killed just as fast if my enemy gets to me). The game boasted of large maps and serious immersion game play and story lines. The updates were fast (although they were large chunks of files) The only thing to stop me from ever logging on again was an immensely huge patch update and my Thesis. Continent of the 9th SealI've only seen glimpses of the trailer for the "Shadow" class, and heck I was impressed. Air juggles and combo never looked so good, and in an Online RPG at that. The clothing style I've seen so far reminds me of Granado Espada, although a very toned type. I have yet to see more of this game. The freedom of fighting via juggles is seriously tempting me to get at it and try the game myself.
For now, it's seriously on my "Must-try-before-I-die" game list. Click here if you wish to go to C9's official site. Pre-orders are up now! Click here for more info. Or copy this link:http://www.atlus.com/p4arena/ That's basically the official site of the game. It looks rather interesting and releasing it on one of my favorite platforms brings promise of a Vita version . *crosses fingers* Shin Megami Tensei comes up with visually appealing art for the cover. It's Labrys and Yu Narukami for the cover. |
